Here's a great message by Brother Locke that will really make you step back and examine just how committed you are. We say we're willing to do things to get closer to the Lord, but often times we're all talk and no action. Brother Locke presents this thought using a great analogy and story. Have a listen! Blessings, Della

More of the Same...
Goodness, I slacked! Not on my game this week for some reason. So, I'm sendin' a double assault your way! These next two messages by Brother Greg Locke are some practical, where the rubber meets the road kinda preaching on how we ought to conduct ourselves as Christians. The first is aimed at parents mostly and the second will hit us all. So, suit up and put on your helmet...get ready for the WORD.

Sound Doctrine
So, as you can probably tell from the messages here...I like hard preaching. I don't like smart allecky, watered down, powerless preaching. I don't like it if it ain't the truth told in love smothered with the spirit. With that said, there are some young preachers that I have heard that can flat PREACH! One of the first I heard outside of just the churches we travel around to in our area was Brother Greg Locke. A troubled teen, he came to know the LORD and was gloriously changed into a new creature. Let me tell you, if you didn't have a change, you might not have salvation. The Word tells us that we become new creatures in Christ and that old things pass away and all things become new.
Aside from that, he is a fireball preacher and I am so thankful God is still calling the next generation of great preachers today! We ought to rejoice in the fact that God still loves us enough to send us the truth. I am going to post some of my favorite messages he's preached this week. All these can be downloaded free off Sermon Audio. I believe you just have to register. Enjoy!

There's More to Going to Church Than Going to Church...
This morning as I was cleaning, I turned on yet another great message from Brother Handley Milby off the Gospel Trumpet Website (I really encourage you to go and explore all the great preaching that is on this site, one of the best on the net!) The message was called "How To Go To Church." God wants, expects in fact, us to assemble ourselves and go to church, but he is not satisfied with just your body warming a pew. He expects some things of us when we go to His house. Just showing up is NOT enough! I'll not rant, I'll just let Brother Milby preach it to ya straight! Enjoy and be blessed by the Truth of God's Word!

An Appointment You Can't Get Out Of...
There are three events that are 100 % sure... life, death, and the judgement. Judgement is serious business and has been cheapened by Hollywood and the media on all fronts. One of the reasons this country is in the mess it's in , is years and years of living without accountablility. Do what you want to do when you want to do it... that's the motto of the day. Living without fear of judgement. Like the late great Dr. Percy Ray said many times, just cause you don't believe it don' t make it one bit less true. Truth is truth and cannot be altered by man. God is truth, and he changes not. This great message by Brother Handley Milby called "The Judgement" isn't just aimed at the unsaved, it is a sobering message warning the born again children of God to start living like we believe in judgement. We are ALL heading to judgement, but as Brother Milby says "I'm glad there will be a great separation" Which way will you go? We will all give an account. The Bible says "of every deed done in this body, whether good or bad." That ought to scare us to death! Take a listen to this sobering message by Brother Milby and my prayer is that if you are unsaved, that you will prepare to go with the saints in that great separation. My prayer for myself and all other born again believers , is that we will clean out lives up and line up to the standards God has set forth in His Word. Blessings.

Today I thought I'd post this sermon by the late, great Maze Jackson. This message called "Abominations In Our Fundamental Churches" was the first I had ever heard by Brother Maze and really exhibited the power the Lord gave him to preach the truth of God's Word.

Have You Got Fire ASSURANCE?
A couple weeks back , I heard another incredible message by Brother Michael Dollar about the Refiner's Fire. Now, I've heard the refiner's fire touched on, but never heard a really strong message about it. This one really blessed me and I've been telling everyone about how good it is. If you're a child of God and you ever desire to be all he wants you to be, you can just expect to be in the refiner's fire. But, God is the great Refiner and he'll never leave you alone. You'll come forth as pure gold, if you'll let him control the fire. Happy Listening!

A Double Whammy!
Okay, so today was my cleaning day, and I like to listen to preaching and good gospel music while I do it so that I can keep my mind on what it needs to be on. I heard two excellent messages, both off the Sounds of the Gospel Trumpet website. The first was by Brother Eddie Denson who does prison ministry out in Alabama and it was about contentment. There are some things we ought to be content with. The Bible says "godliness with contentment is great gain." Brother Eddie lays these out, but then really hammers down on the things we, as born again Christians, have gotten content with, that we ought not to be. Very good message with alot of rejoicing.
Next, was a message by Ricky Simpson from Bremen Ga. His thought was "Some Lies that Will Kill You." It was aimed primarily towards men in the ministry, preachers and such, but exposes alot of false doctrines flying around in our fundamental churches today that Bible believing Christians are falling for. These lies will destroy , not only the man of God's ministry, but the witness and joy of Christians in all areas of ministry, whether a missionary, preacher, teacher, or just a parent whose missionfield is their home. We must beware of false doctrines and false prophets. In these last days, the devil is going about as a roaring lion seeking to destroy whoever, whenever, and however. He knows his time is running out and he uses these lies to lead people astray. Happy listening!

Where's Your Axe Head?
Okay, so I haven't posted in a long time. This has been my neglected blog. Shame on me... Have been trying to figure out how to set up the MP3 sermons I've recorded myself so that they play straight from the blog, but have had no sucess. Well, stumbled upon this great preaching site called Sounds of the Old Time Gospel Trumpet and these are the kind of preachers I like to hear. One such preacher on this site is named Michael Dollar out of Alabama. The first message I listened to, Bro. Dollar was preaching about the lost axe head in Second Kings, Chapter Six. In this message, Brother Dollar asks the scathing question "Have we lost our cutting edge?" I'm serious when I say that this was one of the most personally convicting messages I have ever heard since I've been saved. Sit back, grab your KJV and some salve...it'll hurt, but it's that good kind of hurt.

Not What You Hear On Sundays, Sadly...
In a day when everyone is substituting everything in the place of biblical salvation, these two messages by Brother Rolfe Barnhard really hit home this week. You don't hear this kind of preaching anymore and I truly believe that's why we don't see many true conversions. The key being TRUE conversion. There's alot of people who are being deceived and their are many making profession without confession. You'll get saved when God deals and without the Holy Spirit dealing with you, you can't do business with God. Contrary to popular doctrine of the modern apostate church, you can't get saved whenever YOU want to. It is a work of God. Enough ranting, here's the links.

Dr. Percy Ray: What A Christian's Attitude Toward Sin Ought to Be
Until I can figure out how to embed a real player into my blog, I will have to do a direct link to the messages. This is a message preached by Dr. Ray that is very solid. When you become born again, you ought not to dabble in the sin of the world. The Bible tells us to be a separated people. This day and age, you can't tell the world from the saved. It just shouldn't be that way. Anyway, here is the link to the message "What a Christian's Attitude Toward Sin Ought to Be" The Link will take you to a page where you must double click on the message. You can also save by right clicking on the sermon title and selecting Save As Target. I hope you enjoy. This is preaching you don't hear very much of these days.
